Hmmm, wonder which way the filming is?
During the week, a majority of the filming moved to Uptown, one of Chicago’s northerly neighborhoods and right around the corner from where I live. Sadly there weren’t any Transformers in attendance (well, that we know about) but we got a chance to see Mark Wahlberg and T.J. Miller.
Translation: “Please see the bewildered looking person trying to coordinate pedestrian traffic.”
An amazing historical building that has fallen into a seriously sad state of disrepair, the Uptown theater closed in 1981, before Transformers was a thing.
Looks normal enough, except this wasn’t a hardward store before TF4 got here.
This pretend business is a little more obvious.
The Green Mill, a bar famous for being a hang out of Al Capone, got the Texas treatment.
Report Alien Activity! Remember Chicago!
Ready to speed into action.
Can’t be Texas without a bunch of old pickup trucks. Kup… is that you?
Muscle cars, not specifically Texan, but certainly cool.
Not sure why Mr. Bay has a chair, he doesn’t seem to stop moving long enough to need one.
It’s all about the camera angles..
Let’s just ignore the Thailand Food Corp. signs.
Stars on the set! Well, the human ones, at least.
Uh oh, sun’s going down.
What do you do when the sun has gone down and there’s more filming to do? Make your own daytime, of course.
